Lisa SaundersLisa Saunders

Lisa is a communications specialist with over 15 years experience working as a broadcaster, journalist, creative writer and publicist. At heart, she loves to find out the quirks about people, discover the passions that motivate them, and share those qualities for others to enjoy.

As an award-winning journalist, the Portage la Prairie native’s work has been recognized with the Canadian Association of Broadcasters’ Gold Ribbon Award, Manitoba Motion Picture Industry Association’s (MMIPA) Blizzard Award and the Eric Wells Excellence in Journalism Award. She has worked as a news anchor, reporter and video journalist for CTV News, Global News, Citytv, A-Channel, MuchMusic, and Bravo! She has also written for the Winnipeg Free Press and covered news and weather for major market radio stations like CJOB 680 AM and CJKR 97.5 FM.

Having worked in major Canadian markets such as Toronto and Calgary for several years, Lisa has established connections from coast to coast; her contact base is enormous. She is especially connected within the arts industry and has worked as a recording artist, voice talent and creative writer. Keeping an inside track is important to Lisa, which is why she is a member of community organizations like the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers (SOCAN), and the Manitoba Audio Recording Industry Association (MARIA). She lives and breathes to create.

As a publicist, Lisa has represented independent film and music companies, and has a strong educational background in media relations. She believes in “kicking it old school,” having graduated with honours from Red River College’s journalism, public relations and advertising program.
